| Abrasion of the conveyor belt fasteners caused premature failure and unscheduled downtime of the belt carrying coal from barges into the plant. Belzona 2211 Hi-Build Elastomer was used over the hinged fastener to entend belt life. Belzona solution lasted over 3 years whereas competitors tested lasted only a week. |   | The tire on a heavy loader operating in a quarry was damaged by a sharp edged rock. Air was leaking when the crack was in the bottom position under full load. | The expansion joint in a hospital hallway had failed and was causing a trip hazard. The old metal joint was torn out and replaced with Belzona 4111. A jig was used to provide the repair with the same height as the tile floor, and sealed using the Belzona 2211 providing excellent wear resistance. |   | Rotary lobe pumps used in waste water treatment plant are exposed to wear. Ordering specialist parts can be costly and have lengthy delivery times. Using Belzona's 2131 Fluid Elastomer, a mould, lined with Belzona 1341, was created from new lobes and used to cast replica lobes.
